Ideas

A writer's life is hard
but magical
filled with bursts
of creativity

These bursts 
are sudden and often
slip through
the cracks of memory
before they can be
recorded
written down

I should start to hold
a pen and paper
in my hands
at all times
so I can capture
each idea
before it dissolves

Sometimes I am lucky
and manage 
to remember it again
but often it never
reappears
and I am left
to wait
