Here, There, Everywhere

Can I rest a moment?
Here, there, in this blank white space that is everything and everywhere
Can I put my head upon a forest of feathers and dream of something
Besides the horror that is sometimes my days
This is therapy, it is something strange beyond the world
That everyone can reach which
Is rare.
This string of words is like the pattern in my brain
When I close my eyes it is neverending
Almost like there is a wind in my ear
Do you ever hear that whistling like I do?
I hear it every night
Some sort of sound is in my head
A buzzing, humming, loud fill
A yawn and I am half awake
But please, no
Can I not get up and eat my cereal and get in the car and travel through my day
I don't want to
I want to stay, here, there, everywhere
In the mistic magic drug that is
Sleep.
