Opposites

Anchors and tentacles,
You rock in the water getting controlled by the sea,
and the tentacles come out and try to grab you,
but you put the power into your hands and drop the anchor down,
squashing the tentacles and taking away the challenge,
keep fighting and please, keep going,
Calm and chaos,
the wind twirls you in the air,
and you feel the calm air surrounding you,
the wind starts to whip you, and you spin and spin,
and then it all turns into chaos,
all while getting faster and faster; it pushes, oh, it pulls you,
let things happen as they come and go,
don't force things,
Happy and sad,
the rain starts to pour down, 
making you look so helpless and sad,
the rain glides down your body and makes you shiver,
It washes away all of the smudges and the dirt,
and then you smile and dance,
you jump and leap to the rhythm and you make the rain sizzle and pop, 
embrace it all no matter what; good or bad,
and you are finally happy,
Hopeful and hopeless,
You sit on the train and watch as everything you remember goes by,
the memories run free and they all whiz past you,
and then everything slips away and you're left there feeling empty,
and then when all hope seems to be gone,
but you keep going and stay on the train,
there's hope for the future, just let go of all of the pain,
anchors and tentacles,
evens and odds
