7.5 billion people will try to get a power today.
Except for me.
I don't need a superpower to feel special.
I don't need to fly or create rainbows.
I just need a pencil and paper.
And then I can write.
My "superpower" comes from within.
If only the rest of the world would see that they don't need powers.
That they are perfect just the way they are.
Someday
The ones who will be remembered
Are not the winners
Not the superheros
But the ones who wrote down the message of the world.
The ones who understood that you need to work hard to overcome challenges.
That will be me.
Let's hope they never forget.

 

7.6 billion people granted a superpower, but none can be the same. If I were given this opportunity, I don't know what I would choose. All the good ones like mind reading, invisibility, happiness, power, smartness, success, ect. would be taken. I mean I would love to be super smart and never have to worry about not succeeding in life, but I wouldn't be able to choose those things. I guess If I was granted one superpower that had to be different from everybody else's, I would choose the ability to know when I'm in the good old days before I am no longer in them. I am afraid my life is going to pass me by, and I won't take advantage of what I was given. I wish that I could know which moments were going to change my life, so I can pay more attention. Now that would be a superpower.

Kindergarteners sit in class and
imagine running through the trees
pretending to be Spiderman. 
while his friend chases him,
his arms wide as he grunts like Hulk. 
They point lasers only visible in their 
eyes, and ride imaginary spaceships. 

Sophomores wish they could create world
peace after being exposed to the many troubles 
in the world. While seniors stare at the 
calendar and try to fast forward to 
graduation day. 

7 billion people in the world wishing for the
same things. Despite their gender, race, or
culture. There's no self power to hold onto
yourself that someone else going through 
the same experiences, hasn't imagined as well. 


 

With 7.6 billion people in the world, it is highly unlikely that any power you name would be unique. I'm sure that no matter how far in my brain I search for this unsaid power, someone else would have done the same thing. I think having this ability, you would have to try and outsmart everyone else. Say, if everyone knew that they had to have a different super power than anyone else, all of the popular superpowers would be available. No one would say, "I want to be invisible" because everyone would think that someone else would have it. But I must also take into account that children will partake in this too, and all they know are superhero's powers. Therefore, the popular powers are again off the table. I think I'd have to meet in the middle of my brain somewhere. I can't reach too far for this superpower, but I must also reach far enough so that no one else will have that power.
