I walk up to the front of the school doors. The crisp spring wind blows through my hair. I open the doors and warm air rushes out at me. I walk down the halls. I pass a girl with eyes like the ocean. They pull me in. She doesn't look at me and keeps walking. Her dirty blonde hair is the only thing I see before she goes around a corner. Everyday I see her. I can't stop thinking about her. But everyday we pass each other, she never ever looks at me. I finally found the nerve to talk to her.But when I walked down the hall she wasn't there. The next day she wasn't there-and the next. One particularly cold morning I happened to glance at the newspaper. Her picture was on the front page. My heart dropped. In big bold letters, it said “Teen is killed in drunk driving accident.” My insides turned. My eyes glazed over with tears. I had fallen in love with her and she never even knew who I was. Now she was gone. Forever.
