How long until I can stop pretending I am fine?
How long until my fears stop holding me back?
How long until I can listen to my heart?

How long will I be able to pretend I am fine?

I am in the car,
where am I going?
on a walk with my dad and my dog.
To a place that is not to far from home,
yet still just far enough.
to feel like we got away from town,
the sirens and the paved roads.
on this walk,

It’s 2023, 

March 19 2023 to be exact.

It still feels as if no time as changed,

Since last month.

Still going to be spring,

Then sike it’s winter again.

Still just trying to get by in school.

Your eyes remind me of all the things I have been missing and all the things I could have.
dancing in the rain and mountain top views.
snow animals and muddy New England roads.
cold hands and cold feet warming up near roaring fires.
