Wind rushes
As the bike moves forward 

Water gushes 
From the nearby stream

The world is quiet and peaceful here 
Well as quiet as it can be

The leaves still rustle 
Every now and then

you keep asking me if I'm ok
making me wonder if I really look that distraught

I just nod and say I'm great
like I always do 

little do you know just how much 
I choke on my lies 

furry burns bright 
in an empty heart

and anger glows silently 
under fake smiles.

while grudges condense 
like too many people in a small room

time ceases only for a very special few 

if this world were perfect 
We'd stop all the wars 
Our children would smile
And We'd open our doors 
To the people who need homes as much as ourselves

I'm here to tell you

you know that feeling you get when you wake up 

like something happened last night

but you don't know what?

do you know that feeling that haunts you each day
