Ever Changing Orange
I don’t like the color orange anymore
I was water
For my face was flooded
My eyes were filled with the horizon
And orange was the sky
So soft and sweet
I was a fire place
Casting a glow on my friends face -
Time Traveler
I am the traveler that stalks these dusty roads
Seeking beauties only a blind man can see
Dragging through the dirt
Selling sadness and wishes to the wind
Take a look
You want to see me for yourself
Take a look -
Untitled?
He was a meek mannered man
With a guitar in his hand
And a life so long it hardly happened at all
He pried his eyes from the band
And sighed to the crowd
Who was a little too loud for his liking
He wasn't sure anymore -
The Reckless One
Five p.m. on a white winter night, 1975
The blue boy was walking home all alone
He chose to stay after school that day
Hands huddled in his pocket
There was a hole in his hood
Where the heat leaked out -
Car Crash
Soft rock songs filled the car
Creating a fake feeling of calm
But he was not convinced
Neither was the mountain road
Who told him to go home
But it wasn’t his house
It was her house
And it was never a home -
You Know Me
I was so still
Too still
I think he had known that I was alone
He spread from my head
And dripped to the floor
Making me slip when I tried to run
He said so slimily sweet
“If you have seen me
You know me”
I bit my lip
