Mars was slightly annoyed to be doing Ariel’s chores, but liked the way she shopped. Perhaps it was the fact she never had much growing up, or she wasn’t materialistic. Either way, shopping with her was much easier than shopping with Sarah.

Ariel slept in a park near Mars’s house so she could come back quickly. She didn’t buy anything, hoping Mars could drive her to a mall for some luxury items. She knocked on the door, but a taller, female version of Mars answered.

“Okay, let me get this straight.” Mars needed a minute to process. He straightened up from his desk and sat next to her on the bed.
“You ran away from a mental hospital because your immediate family is THAT shitty?”
“Yeah.”

Ariel had planned everything perfectly. She managed to duck out of the building after stealing the security keys from a guard and hiding in a dumpster for a few minutes before running on the highway to a gas station. 

“Mars! Did you eat my potato chips!?”
Mars looked up from his computer. 
“I swear you are SO annoying!”
“Sorry, Sarah. First come…” He smirked
Sarah threw the empty bag at Mars in retaliation.
