Okay, guys, has anyone cracked the code yet on how to prevent and/or recharge from burnout?
Nothing besides a week off from school actally worked for me, but obviously you can't just take a week off whenever. And slowing down doesn't work either because then you're behind. Cutting out non-academic activities makes life flavorless, but doing the opposite makes you really busy. And this doesn't just affect my school life. For any passion project that I start, I grind until I burnout, then give up.

I definitely feel the same way! I think what's been working well for me recently is just starting (I know it sounds cliche) habits of mindfulness, through everyday things like exercising or journaling. Slowing down your entire life isn't going to be helpful, like you said, because that just leads to more stress, but taking time on something small, like making fresh espresso or cookies or something, even if you think you don't have time, can really help help take stress away in a moment, which is going to make you more productive both in that situation and in the long term.
Ah yes, mindfulness. I should really get back into that practice. I used to meditate too for a bit a few years ago. Stopped becuase I ran out of willpower, time, and found it too boring lol.
tysm for the response!
