Hey!! Divergent fans!! Don’t know if you’ve heard, but Veronica Roth announced today that there will be a duology featuring an alternate timeline where—*SPOILER FOR THE OG SERIES*—Tris hadn't chosen Dauntless as her faction. The first book comes out October 6th!

I couldn’t find Veronica saying it directly, but in a USA Today article it said: “In “The Sixth Faction,” a tragedy strikes at her Choosing Ceremony and everything changes. The decision she makes thrusts her into an underground rebellion, where she meets a boy hiding his own secrets. This boy? He’s described only as having a number for a name.” so I assume she will? He seems like her most developed character so I’d be kind of shocked if he wasn’t in it. There’s also other articles with more info
