Crying in H Mart and Savor: A Chef's Hunger for More are my favorite memoirs of all time. They both deal with the relationship between food, family, and cultural heritage, as well as the impact of cancer on loved ones. They also made me full-on sob by the end. HIGHLY recommended, especially to any fellow immigrants who also appreciate food.

If you like memoirs that have LITERALLY EVERYTHING you described, you must read Taste by Stanley Tucci (author of cookbooks such as the Tucci Table.)
