Is still

Eyelids closed, maybe just

Silent

Let us stay silent

To early for whispers to wake

To early for sounds to carry across morning breezes

Wings flap and stretch

To early for us to say good morning

But just right for flight

 

Dawn

Is awakening

Eyelids fluttering, maybe a couple

Mutters about dreams that are

Forgotten in silent, waking

Minutes

Past 5:06

It's dawn

 

Dawn comes with sunrise,

Colors, maybe sounds only heard with rays of light saying

"Wake up,

It's dawn

It's time again"

 

Dawn

Is awakening,

And past dawn,

Is day.
