All my life,
I love you was said,
when leaving and when wishing someone well.
It was normal,
Love you lots and your name at the end of the letter.
Love you when saying goodbye for a while.
Love you when saying good night.

All my life I have wondered why love you.
holds so much power,
why do we say we like someone,
before we say we love them,
that love you is like a rope,
that binds you to that person.

So what's the difference between I love you and I like you?
How do you know when your feelings

Are closer to love 
or closer to I like you.

enough to tie that rope,
and listen to the butterflies and sparks.
