The amusement park

Last Friday we went to explore the abandoned amusement park in our city. Due to the number of deaths from the dangerous rides the park had been closed down and forgotten about. The owners didn't want to pay to fix the rides, so they left the country. Now we're left with a decaying amusement park. We walked around the park to try to find an entrance to the park.
“Hey, there's a hole in the fence!” I shouted.
“Let's go, I thought we were gonna be able to get in,” Eric shouted back.

I crawled through the hole first And once I got through I stood up and admired the view of all the once-running park rides. It was crazy to think that this was once a popular place where people used to gather.

I looked back to see Eric struggling to crawl through the small hole in the fence.
“Come on, Eric, it's not that hard,” I said, bursting into laughter.

“I'm too big to squeeze through,” Eric said as he pushed his way through the rest of the hole.

When he finally managed to push his way through the fence, we gathered our bearings of the surrounding area.  was a man staring at us behind one of the run-down buildings.

“Yo look. There's someone staring at us” I said

“Yo what is he doing” Eric responded

“I don't know, let's go see what he wants from us,” I said as I started to walk towards the man.

As we approached this strange man, he stepped out from behind the building and he towered over us which to Eric was a surprise as he is a giant himself. He was concealing his left arm behind the building as if he was hiding something.

“Yo what's your problem why are you staring at us” I yelled to the man.

“ ya come on you're being really weird” Eric screamed.
With no response, he just stood there staring at us he had this look in his eyes like he was planning something. And from where we were standing you could smell the stench of rotting eggs like he hadn't showered in weeks.

“Yo, you're gonna say anything,” Eric yelled out of nowhere.

The man stepped out further away from the building revealing his left hand which revealed a machete covered in blood. He started walking over to us; his walking turned into jogging which turned into sprinting.

“Run” I screamed

We turned around and sprinted back towards the hole we crawled through. Weaving in and out of buildings to try to lose the killer. I looked back at the man as I tripped over a stump peering out of the cracked concrete. I scrambled back to my feet and dove through the hole.

Eric barely squeezed his large body through the hole as the man grabbed his shoe. Eric was able to slip out of his shoe and we both managed to escape back to our car and make it back home. Eric was a little sad that he lost his shoe but he is relieved that we both made it out of there

In the future, Eric and I will not be exploring any abandoned buildings or anything of that sort knowing what happened to us could happen again.
