Anxiety paints my life

I felt pretty today,

Like the glimmering sun.

I felt happy today,

Like nothing else mattered.

I felt confident today,

Like the words of doubt were cut up small enough where I couldn’t read them.

I felt enough today,

Like I didn’t need to be somebody else.

So, I danced to my song.

Right there, in front of everyone.

No one else cared.

Except for you.

My self confidence,

Certainty,

Bountifulness,

And joy,

Were shattered.

All because you wanted a laugh.
