“Beautiful Doors”

“Beautiful Doors”

When summer comes like a flash
knocking on my door,
I get a sudden urge to explore
the great outdoors waiting in the woods.
The natural buildings rise and could
tower over all our metal trees.

When time comes and the leaves fall,
and red and yellow cover all,
I get a sudden urge to explore
and go and knock on nature’s door.
I wade and swim through the leaves;
I look up and see nature’s trees.

When winter rolls onto the floor,
snow covers the steps of nature’s door.
I get a sudden urge to explore
the cold, fluffy gift from the sky,
and hang my golden wreaths
made from great golden trees.

When the rain drops in gallons,
I look up and see a crying sky.
I get a sudden urge to explore
a wet landscape nature hasn’t given before.
The wetness almosts make you challenge
the mighty door that is nature’s door.

When summer comes once again,
Congrats! You’ve made it ‘round the bend
and soon time will see
nature means so much to thee.
Nature has many powers to explore,
one just needs to step out the door.
