The Boy On The Screen

She didn't text him

And as her eyes watched a flashing screen,

her happiness

Thaws

She sent the message

And as she goes unanswered now,

Her comfort

Thaws

She cries and cries in pain

But as she looks at the boy on screen,

Her anxiety

Thaws

The boy is okay.

And a sigh of relief

Left her frowning lips

All the sorrow and the grief

Thaws
