Demon

The demon sits on my shoulder
Silent as a rock
Staring out at everything
It watches through eyes that are partly mine
Judging things in a way that I sometimes do
It's silky tail sliding around my neck,
Almost choking me.
It's head is a mix of monkey and fish,
The longest fin trailing down it's back and ending in a
Point.
It's eyes are the same shade as mine,
Dark as the deepest chocolate,
And it's a greenish-yellow color reminds me of a melted lemon popsicle,
Forgotten in the grass.
It never speaks,
Only hints at things,
Things I don't want to see.
The demon living on my shoulder is part of me,
Everyone has one.
But it's scary
Nonetheless.
