The diamonds

Let the page write the story for much time has passed
Since we carved the lines into the ground
Each bloody footprint weaving a spiderweb
A map maybe
For those to come

The diamond lays in the ring now
But it still remembers its past

She looked up at me, brown eyes full of secret strength
She understands too
For the long road scribed its careful mark on her
One that shows only in the dark
But now she's glittering, polished Ready to be sold

Together but apart we took
Long walks, running backwards
Our filthy shoes splashing in the Winding road's divots

Until we came here
And it all changed

Let the page write the story for much time has passed
Since we carved the lines into the ground
Each bloody footprint weaving a spiderweb

Now it's your turn

Bounce back

Go for the gold

Shine
