    Shyness...It has always lurked around me. Surrounding me throughout my entire life. It had been there through the worst and best times. I’d always hoped it would go away but it never seemed to fade. It attracted unwanted behavior sometimes.

    ALEX and HARPER enter from stage left. ALEX is carrying hiking gear, including a backpack, water bottle, and map, while HARPER wears casual hiking wear. ALEX is looking over a map while HARPER trails behind her.

        I stood there at the end of the track where my mark was. I was waiting for my turn to jump. I was extremely nervous because I had failed to make the minimum jump previously. I looked down at my tape mark with my name on it.

    Edleburg was a happy town. It rested on cliffs at the foothills of the great mountains to the north. The looming shadows cast by the mountains were woven into daily life, as common as the grass and the sky.

    I wake up, it's a dark room with a few more people in it, the only window has broken glass sticking out of it. A girl next to me wakes up, she has blond hair and bluish eyes. We look at each other for a second.

    Bullets sprayed down on the American soldiers that were raiding the beach. The water rushed up and down on the shore violently, knocking some Americans over as it moved. Bullet after bullet, the men slowly lost their brothers.
