This is the beginning of a story I'm writing, based very loosely on King Arthur. It's set in the early eighteen hundreds, durring the industrial revolution. Enjoy!
Sara is new to her school in Mississippi. Ever since she was a little girl, she has been very shy. It’s the very first day and she knows nobody in her 7th grade class.
On the day the tower fell, I was about to enter the subway tunnels to head home, to my apartment in the heart of Chicago. When I heard a bone-chilling scream. It was filled with anguish and despair. That scream pierced my heart, forever changing me.
I look behind me at the sunlight that is flooding the clearing. I want to run back, shed my bag, let my skin soak up the warmth, and just stay lying in the tall grass forever. Instead, I turn back around and face the unfriendly looking woods.
this is my horror screenplay! i wrote it with the intention of making something my friends and i could shoot that would be fun and mildly scary, not a transcendent work of art, so i'm aware that the plot isn't perfect, but... yes. this is a thing.
a/n: so a few posts ago i had a list of things i wanted to write. this is the 'soft' entry. it's been a while since i've written fluffy things like this, so please forgive me if it's not too good !
coffee shop setting ; soft characters, ie, just woke up with their s/o next to them ; a soft, painless death - old age? with their loved ones near them ; small things to give personality - gestures, soft/loud voices, tics, etc ;
