Forty eight days and counting
Will this ever end?
15 days are mounting
Since I’ve seen a friend
I love my family dearly
But not so much the chores
But I miss the world severely
Even going to the stores
The birds sit taunting in the open air
While I sit on my warm computer
From my window I can only stare
At the wide eyed downy hooter
So instead of doing homework
I turn everything into rhymes
I guess that’s just a perk
Of these unprecedented times
