(I refer to s*x as dg, aka the gender the doctor pronounced you. This will also be mostly unedited, because this is just me blurting my thoughts onto a document to share.)
Gender is one thing. Dg is another. They are not the same. Dg is what the doctors said, like “Congrats! It’s a boy/girl!” Gender is what you choose. You can choose to be many different genders, whether you were AFAB or AMAB. There is one you may know of, like nonbinary, trans female/male, she/they, he/they, genderfluid. But there can also be a lot you don’t know, like faegender, genderfae, xe/xir, ey/em, or even just your name!
I currently call myself gendercurious. I am curious about using different pronouns to see what I like best, because my dg does not feel completely me. I am especially curious about faegender and genderfae. It interests me that faegender is a gender identity that changes with seasons and moon phases. Even though I haven’t put much research into it, I am intrigued about what it would be like to be faegender.
And genderfae is where your pronouns are fae/faer, pronounced (fay) and (fair). I am also considering going by fae/faer because I like the sound of it. I like to practice referringto myself as fae/faer, for example, “Sunfawn went to the store. Fae should be back at faer house soon.” It sounds nice.
There are also many, many other pronouns. You can also make your own! If there’s a word you really like, for example Wind, you can turn it into pronouns! Wind/Wird/Wind’s/Wird’s are just a few I thought of. In a sentence they could be, “Wind went to wird’s house, and after wind will drive wird motorcycle to wird mother’s house.” And that’s just an example!
I hope you find pronouns that feel right to you, whether it’s a well known gender or a neogender. (One of the newly introduced genders.) Have a good day, and thanks for reading this!
