A Good Boy

        It was a Thursday morning while I did my usual routine. Go upstairs, Wake up Thomas, my good friend, then go back down the stairs super fast and race to the kitchen. Thomas makes my breakfast and puts it into my special bowl with my name on it, Max. I always have my breakfast in the bowl with my name on it. It's my only bowl but still my favorite, after I eat I go lay on the couch with Thomas. Thomas always watches Tv while eating before he goes to work. He skips a few channels and eventually settles on a good one. About 15 minutes pass when he's finished eating now and he goes into the office and grabs his keys which are always next to the empty coffee mug from the previous day. He grabs his brown silk raincoat from uptop the coat rack and opens the creaky door. He looks back at me and says Be good.
       I know from all the past times that Thomas goes to work that he usually comes back at 4-5 Pm so all I need to do is wait till then. To pass the time I play with my toys, sleep, use the doggy door and play outside. I always do all that I can to be a good boy and make Thomas happy, he's the best friend i've ever had. It's 4 now, Thomas should be home soon, So I go behind In the spot I always do Where Thomas will never find me so when he comes through the door I can jump out and scare him. I try my best to keep all the excitement contained for when he arrives. I start to wait as time passes so I can surprise Thomas. But it's 5 now and he's still not home, I start to worry. Soon it becomes 5:30 and now I'm super worried I start thinking did he leave me? Have I been a Bad boy? Then suddenly I hear a loud noise, I start to wag uncontrollably. The door creaks open with its usual screech and out I jump from the door and land right into Thomases arms. He gives me a good Laugh pets me and says, Your a Good Boy.
