My name Is Jodie Silva. The date is June 4th, 2549. I am an engineer aboard the new colony ship, Saint Maria. The Saint Maria is the first colony ship that Earth has made that has engines capable of extreme speeds. The ship is on a mission to see if a new electrical planet in the solar system is habitable for human life. The planet is nicknamed Elec 4 because of the electrical storms on the planet's surface that are visible from space, and the planet's 4 small water moons that orbit around the planet's galactic aura.
When the Saint Maria’s yellow interior lights turned on, all the crew strapped in and got ready for the hopefully quick trip with the new engines to this new mysterious planet. Soon after the crew strapped into their seats, the yellow lights turned to red, and with a 10 second countdown, the Saint Maria was off. A few minutes after the burst of engines, the Saint Maria arrived at the planet and began its orbit above the planet.
The planet was much more beautiful than I ever imagined! Its blue rings and galaxy aura gleaming off the planet's surface. The tropical water blue that surrounded the space around the 4 water moons, was the most beautiful thing, I thought to myself. That thought abruptly came to an end, though, when an electrical current from the main planet shook the ship and abruptly started to hurl the ship around like a sack of potatoes. When the ship recovered from the electrical blow, she started her descent to the surface of the planet where it would be safer from the electrical storms in the planet's atmosphere. When the Saint Maria touched the crystal-like floor of the planet, I was the first person to bolt out the slow opening mechanical door to see the new beautiful planet. I raced to the edge of a tall hill, and it overlooked the most beautiful landscape I’ve ever seen: tall glistening crystal trees with leaves of sapphire and the beautiful tropical water blue lake that comes from the 4 moons. This place is Truly Home.
