When I was walking down the hall,
And life was bright and sunny,
I felt like I was ten feet tall,
With lots and lots of money.
I skipped across the stream and lawn,
The world a-plenty with flowers,
The sky was alight with brand new dawn,
No snow, or hail, or showers.
I opened the door and stepped inside,
Where it was dark and cool.
I smiled wide and nearly sighed,
Then stumbled towards a stool.
I felt so great and right and good
And uttered not a single "no"
Everything was as it should-
Oh ouch! I stubbed my toe!
