when they kidnap citizens.
What they mean is
"For civilians like us."
They tell us to be civil
when we protest in the street,
turning a blind eye to the raging podcast hosts spouting slurs.
They talk about the great American civilization,
ignoring how we built it.
With a million bloody wrists
cut by shackles.
Hold your tongue
be civil.
