ideologies

stardust in rivers

oceans and streams

d0wn from the night sky

and then to you and me

but the label spalled on

wouldn't dare to make you yawn

with the work put in

by the stars within

daydreams in velvet

satin and lace

out from the soul

to complement the face

but the sweat and tears

are gone due to the fears

of the brain itself

no matter the heart on the shelf

silversong in trees

shrubs and fruit

born from the earth

feeding you with their roots

but we rip them out the ground

until they make not a sound

of those before them

too, lacking their stems

all of this we do

because we were told

and the ideologies to uphold
