At least I can say I tried to like you

That you'll text me first

And I'll never forget how you made me feel

Even when I'm in the far-away place

Of being over you

Remember when we were in the lunch line

and you caught me staring at you?

We locked eyes for a moment 

An incredible moment

But it was over too fast

A friend tapped you on the shoulder 

And pulled you aside

I feel like an idiot going to great lengths

To know everything about you
