the divine tranquillity of the vast ocean
the sounds of the waves, crashing into one another
it's peaceful, it soothes the racing thoughts in my mind
it stops time for a split second
you can get lost in the midst of it all
but that wouldn't be so bad,
getting lost in the waves

My dear, it was not necessary
You will regret it one of these days
What made you do it?
Searing, frying, sautéing,
wiping sweat off my forehead,
crying because of onions
the things I do for a boy.
I hope he likes it.
The doorbell rings.
The door opens, he stands with a bouquet in his hands.

the sky is falling
pieces descending from high above
the canvas that once held breathtaking scenes
