Magic

Clocks tick on a steady rhythm, but the earth’s clock has an irregular heartbeat that fills the room with a sort of enigmatic song that everyone seems to know. Lots of songs can symbolize childhood, and when you grow up, you’ll hear that song and remember. Here, in this place, all you can do is remember.
Imagine an illusion. When you look outside, you see a storm, but when you step outside, it’s a sunny summer day. Which one is real? People say to trust your gut, but gut instinct requires knowledge, and knowledge can fly away, and then you’re left to trust your heart, who often lies. Our eyes lie, and so does our heart, and logic sometimes is defied by things that hide in cold corners. Sometimes we can be entirely devoid of any knowledge of which path to take, so we ask around us but everywhere and everything else in an illusion too.
When you’re first deceived, you’ll ask yourself, how was I tricked or something on the lines of that, because there are 5 stages of grief and the first one is denial. But then you’ll pinch yourself because that’s what you do to tell if you’re dreaming, and then you’re on to stage 2, anger.
Only one thing can explain the unexplainable, things like when the song you’re thinking of comes on the radio, or when you jinx your best friend, or when you drop a spoon and catch it in the blink of an eye. But that same thing can be the feeling you feel when you know you’ve forgotten something, but can’t remember what, or the change in the mood when the weather shifts. And once all the normal things have passed and the moon comes up, that mysterious, mystical thing comes and makes the night flowers bloom and the waves glow silver and the breeze turn golden and the stars seem to sparkle extra bright. And that thing makes illusions and clocks that sing. And that thing is magic.

  • Am I young?

Well yes, I am still young

You can call me a kid, but I will never again be

The toddler I was, smiling at joyous things

That I no longer enjoy now that I'm older,

And I like older kid things.

  • Told You

    Hell yeah I told you

    Why didn't you believe me?

I knew that it would end like this

But you said 'wait just trust me'

I want to say I told you

    But Im starting to believe

    That maybe you were right

  • Not Sorry

    I'm not sorry

    Not sorry at all

    I don't have regrets

    You know what they say

Beter to love and lose than not love at all

    but i kind of disagree

because to love is to gamble

    You’re destined to pay
