The swirling, hazy perspective on a long summer's day. The feeling as if time has halted. Expansive blue sky dotted with lazy clouds, watched from patches of warm, tickling grass. The swish of clothing, movement. The sudden shade of a parasol overhead.
It feels like living.

The portal opens in those fleeting moments that feel like they are about to crescendo, about to climb the final step to see over the mountain top.
She carried around a lip gloss with her, reminiscent of jam and the fruits I used to eat in my youth. It appears darker in the bottle than on her lips, yet she says it is perfect the way it is.
A recluse and a homebody, little entices me to step outside like I do when water falls from the sky. The smell of fresh grass and wet pavement is magic to the senses. But the experience of being surrounded by it all is another.

I absolutely love this poem/description of Monet's painting. It makes me wish all of the descriptions at museums were written like this :)
