He checked the time, and it read 6:36 PM. Gabriel planned to be at the awards dinner by seven o’clock sharp and giving himself one final study in the mirror, he smiled his, “cover page smile.” The outfit was a plaid, monochromatic mosaic of blacks, greys and whites, that engulfed the blazer, pant and tweed cap, that carried the entire ensemble. Under the blazer was a long sleeved, steel grey turtleneck, accommodated by black Italian dress shoes, a weightless, grey scarf around his neck, and a pair of black, wrist length, leather gloves. Gabriel didn’t wear jewelry at all, he wanted the presentation of himself to be different. Not contrived like the people who wore too much treasures just for show. It only proved that they were condescending people, nothing less.
