Music is great

But being compared to your best friend isn’t

Music is great

But having your teacher tell you about all the great things everyone else is doing and then telling you that you just need to put more effort in isn’t 

Music is great

But being taught to resent your friends isn’t

Music is great

But trying your very best and your teacher insinuating that your friend did so much better, and you just need to be more like her isn’t 

Music is great

But is it great enough to withstand all the pain that goes into it?
