My island

I wake up from my nap on the beach. The sounds of the waves are perfect and due to an odd odor emanating from the island that humans can't smell there are little to no bugs roaming around. They have to mainly stay under ground. I walk back to my mansion to grab some delicious sushi that comes fresh from fish off the coast of the island and P.O.G juice from my fridge. This is my island life.

I'm tempted to go to my bedroom to continue my nap as my room has thermal temperature regulation which takes how my body is in it's current state and decides the temperature that will best suit me. It accounts for things like becoming to cold after sweating and becoming to hot after going say swimming. Of course my home A.I. which is essentially my Jarvis reminds me that I need to go for a run as I have not worked out yet today.

I grab a pair of my custom synthetic light weight running shorts and and head out. It is hot on this island, but the one road which leads to town has a steady breeze due to the all the trees creating a funnel. As I am right now I can't see anyone, but just two miles away is town is bustling town full of excitement.

I reach town about 10 minutes later and since I decided I was going for a 5 mile run I run around town for a mile. As I'm running I pass the basketball court they call out to me and ask if I'm down to play some pickup. Like always they're playing king of the court since there is only nine of them. They are all former NBA players which just leaves me. Over the nearly 3 years that I've lived here since I've been teleworking though playing with these guys nearly everyday I have for sure got better.

Of course I can't refuse and run over to them and we start. These games are intense and usually down to the wire, so like always a group of people has formed around us and starts cheering us on. 45 minutes later we are tied 98 a piece playing to 100. The winner has to win by two points which is implying a three pointer. while a regular two pointer is only worth one(Don't ask why that is just how pickup is played). I run up to half court and point at the line. I shoot and and make it. Game over.

As I'm running home reminiscing how everyone went wild after I hit that shot I realize just how sore my legs are. Luckily the island acts like the Nile river does where half of it runs south and half runs north. They leave rafts for people as there are not a lot of cars here. I grab one as well as some more sushi and put it on my tab. As I sail down the river eating sushi as the sun is going down I can't help but smile.

I get home where I can't wait to get to my room and fall asleep. I instead decide to go for a little swim, because why not I live on a beach with ocean may as well. I take off my shoes and decide not to change into a pair of swim trunks and run straight in with all my clothes on. I run in as fast as my sore legs will take me and as soon as I get deep enough I fall into the water where I lay there. Every day I have practiced holding my breath and now I can breath for almost five minutes. As I lay there calm and collected the water surrounding me with a cool sensation I think of how I cant wait to do it all again tomorrow.

If I could get in a spaceship and go anywhere, I would go until I found a planet that looked like it could be inhabited.
  • The Lake

If I were to go on a vacation of my choosing, I would likely go to a crystal clear lake. There would also be some weird chemical in the air keeping all of the bugs back, but that did not affect humans. The crystal clear lake would have a nice beach.

    To Go

The temptation to just leave and go to a remote seculded location sometimes is really extreme. Havasu falls is a remote fall in Arizona. My mom has told me about it. She and a few of her friends went there and camped out.
