My opinion on YouTube Shorts.

YouTube Shorts. The words that can spark a glorious conversation. I hate it. I've never got it. YouTube Shorts in short (Like what I did there) is another way for YouTube to keep the I-pad kids smudging the screen with Cheeto dust.  

YouTube in March 2021 released YouTube Shorts (Shorts, as we'll call it here and YouTube will be YT) to the the public. I at first loved these "Shorts" as I didn't need TikTok or Instagram Reels to watch 30 second videos. I started to see  videos appear in my Recommended feed called stuff "Why YouTube Shorts will kill your channel" i.e. Id like to mention this, BIG CONTENT CREATORS HATE SHORTS. Shorts as made a completely different algorithm and ruined popularity as more viewers gravitated to these 30 second videos. I started noticing this as well. I've stop seeing Markiplier, Jackcepticeye, list goes on of big YouTubers, on my recommended feed and instead these channels that only upload 30 seconds worth of "Memes I stole from Discord" videos on my home page. I ACTUALLY  had to search for people that used to appear on my home page. Quick tip, if you are trying to blow up on YT, USE SHORTS. Content creators were actually upset that the work they put it, the late nights and hours of editing and recording is being diminished by YouTubers who post shorts of brain rot (for you Boomers, basically really bad content, involves lots screaming and loud noises) are basically blowing up over night ! Looking at you Skibidiy Toliet. Looking at you.  I-pad Kids play a major role here but we wont talk about that but what we will talk about is how it hurts them.

I-pad kids, our younger siblings. They sit on their I-pads scrolling through shorts, shortening (more puns) their attention span. Want proof? Here it is. The average short that lasts thirty seconds and it  has to have a FAMILY GUY clip or a  Subway-Surfers Game play clip, Minecraft parkour even, to keep these little Cheeto munching devils staring at their screens. Which is absurd. I have more proof. Myself, I have scrolled through hours of shorts and now I cant even finish a MoistCritical video! 

Now I'm not saying YouTube has to get rid of it. That would be a really big wish. I'm just saying, I think we could've done with out.
