One More Time

for one more time
i will sit in the same place
as I have for so long

for one more time
i will be the people
i've grown to know
love and hate

for one more time
i will reminded that
this will be the last
until the next

and for one more time
i will breathe in this air
i will sit in the grass
i will look at sky
and i will feel the same
as i always have
here in this place

  • What is left

[This is a reposted edited version of a previous poem of mine.]

when all we have is spent–

    what will we have left?

    people once before us–

  • down the street

    i walked down the street
the streets i once used to know
filled with regrets and heavy with burdens
    of what once happened here

    i walked down the street
    a block or so down

  • Dear god, am I real?

I believe in god even though I may know he doesn’t exist

I know the mountains were not formed by him

Instead it is the science in the world

The reason we are here in this moment
