I can only wish to check off something from my
endless lists that create the illusion of success.
What will it be today?
My week old math homework due in the next hour
or adding another item to my list?
The second is the one I choose
because doing means mistakes,
planning means covering up my last ones.
My friends are not Australia but I wish they were. Because if they were, then there would be no world where I have to save them from doom scrolling thousands of perfect bodies that a 13 year old can't and shouldn't have.
Over and over the ride awaits
A carriage good and sound
A go, to go, forego, we go
and now the round spins!--
tilts on it's axis no more or,
freeform expression a painting perhaps
He pleads and begs with knees rusty and matted
Feet of vines to soak the fall not bound like his wife's
