Poet?

I do not consider myself a poet.
I never have.
It's always been my sister's thing
To write.
I consider myself:
A dancer
A photographer
A friend
A Harry Potter fanatic
A reader
A nerd
A fan of musicals and music overall
But never a poet.
I'm not a poet
And I know it.
But somewhere deep inside lies a different person
Who considers herself someone who can create words into stories
Creating something that people will read and enjoy.
When I'm here
It's like a bird locked in a cage inside of me
Is begging to be let free
Twittering madly around inside of it's imprisonment
Finally,
It picks the golden lock and spreads it's wings
Into
  Poems
     Stories
        Words.
That I doubt will ever be famous
Or perfect.
But I have fun when I'm writing.
And that's why I do it.
