The hero stands in front of me once more. 

Telling me my life is not war. 

She always asks if I am tired.

Like her love is always required. 

There she goes again saying she loves me.

Like she knows who I am supposed to be. 

She always tells me she’s going to save me, 

But I’m already down on my knees. 
Go back into the past,

But the time has already passed. 

You were never my hero.

Even though you may have been before. 

Oh, look at me now they say; like I’m some chore. 

My anger has covered up who I truly am. 

Oh, how you have torn me apart like a traffic jam.

You never came to save me.

You left me to flee. 

Oh, how you left and that’s key. 
You have twisted my words. 

Broken my heart into thirds. 

You know nothing about what happened.

So why do you try to pretend like you do?

All this trama you put me through. 

You say this friendship doesn’t need to end. 

Like I am a wound to tend. 

I know I am a villain.

Like I am just a fill in.

You are twisting every word I say. 

Why don’t you just go away? 

You are not my hero; you never were. 

Don’t act like you prefer. 

I may have once been in your wonderland,

But obviously things didn’t go as planned. 

Oh, how you are so grand, 

But I stand knowing. 

You were never my hero. 

 Why are you still here?

Have you realized what you’ve become? 

You may be tired, 

But this used to be the world I desired. 

Go back into the past.

I’m sure I will be there at last.

This war you created in your head.

The road you have gone ahead.

I will save you when I’m there. 

So please take care. 

I will save as long as I am there. 

We make such a good pair. 

You were never a villain in this story.

Just don’t take away my glory. 

I will be the knight in this fairytale.

Just please don’t bail.

And everything will go as planned.

But under all of it, I know that you fought.

There is a beating heart somewhere.

Please don’t put on this show.

What about all the fun we had? 

Please don’t get so mad. 

I recognize that I did you wrong,

But maybe I’ve been the villain all along.

Just trust me that you sense what is right and wrong.
