Seasons

Summer is going fast,
As the nights grow colder.

Summer came and went,
And took with it that feeling.

Fall brings sorrow,
It reminds you that time doesn't stop.

Fall days go by like years,
This used to be my favorite season.

Seasons change,
And people do too.

Sometimes I look back,
And I wish you didn't change so I'd still be with you.

  • What is left

[This is a reposted edited version of a previous poem of mine.]

when all we have is spent–

    what will we have left?

    people once before us–

  • down the street

    i walked down the street
the streets i once used to know
filled with regrets and heavy with burdens
    of what once happened here

    i walked down the street
    a block or so down

  • Dear god, am I real?

I believe in god even though I may know he doesn’t exist

I know the mountains were not formed by him

Instead it is the science in the world

The reason we are here in this moment
