Secret Berry Farmer

berry bear

or red fox

glowing in the always night-

always like a charm

always like a home

glowing berry skins

nail polish flakes

acid on the tongue of a

 black bear

or red fox

seat of sunlight over there

dog frantic!!

teeth to the soft ice

sunlit seat on the orange tractor

who else grows blueberries in the dark night of winter while everything else dies

(except little spinach!)

while bear and fox come close to awakening and tables live on the dried sun holy leaves and leaves give like a wave and all little things sink a little and the dogs nails grow long and the sunlight spots like a spotlight and rock breaks! breaks and breaks! softly and quietly, under the pistachio pyjamas of winter, in the dark night of winter
