Species: Dimension Travelers (Daydreamers)

An ethereal trance

Caught in the midst of it all

Slipping past pages

Escaping the eyes of others

Climbing gently out the window

Delicate wings, broken by the slightest

Faze, sprouts out behind me

Like seedlings to a bud

Desperate in the air

Fwoop, fwoosh

Flap I go up into the night

Up above I reach and see the sky

Ornament with sprinkled salt

Salt…?

Hmmm… Alright
Grilled beef, hot pot, Italian pasta, Paella

And my favorite Hunan pork stir fry

Which one to choose tonight?

Thunk, Thump, TUNK!

Snap out of my trance

I raise my eyes to see a hand pointing to

A question

Peculiar and yet a tiny bit familiar

Ah yes, I’m back from my adventures

The mundane human world can’t

Accommodate otherworldly species like me

Looking down

I don’t understand a single sentence

On the page of my math book

I sigh

And start

All over again

At the top of my page

    Wistful

A shadow covers the blue moon

    Indicating a change

The moonstone shined the color of

    Wild blue, yonder

    A foggy harbor

    Spotlight

    Darkness unveils in the sky

    Enveloping, trapping, strangling me

Words pitter patter into my brain

    Tiny as rain

    Strong as a truck
