The Sting of Loss

The sting of loss feels like opening the door in the middle of January
Letting the cool crispt air hit your face
And makes your eyes sting and your body shiver
You want to close the door
And find your way back to the warmth
But that door is open
And if even you had all the warmth in the world
You will never forget the sting of cold
The sting of loss will stay with you
Like the cold air clings to your skin
Sitting by the hottest fire
You can't forget how the cold hit your body in icy blasts
Even when you are warm again
You still think about the shivering, the cold
Even though you wish you could forget
You can't forget even in the burning hot

From the day you were born I loved you unconditionally.

I loved you every second, of every minute, of every day.

When you were born, I was reborn alongside you.

    Fall

You are still, but the bright trees around you shake.

Colored leaves fall onto your surface.

The wind howls, but you are calm.

  • One: A Tale of Love

    I never realized

There was a big difference between

    Being in love

    And loving someone.

    Not until you came along.

I’ve come up with an idea.

    I call it

    The hole of love.
