But I watch as
the
Jeweled raindrops hit the
Glassy water
Like tiny daggers
And
Rebound upon the surface
Inverted teardrops
To reflect mine
If I drop a minuscule tear of
Sadness
It will

And maybe…?
But I watch as

And maybe…?
So Sunday was the first night of Hanukkah
And there are still cops
Outside the synagogue
And there are still people who look at us
With murder in their eyes
And there are still shootings
If someone is up there
I thought you should know
I’m in love
A dove soars over the mist
God if you're up there
You should know I’m flying free
You should stop yelling
The clutter; I’m broken wings
Is peace just that hard?
