Unshaken Dreams

Walking the path that I've always dreamt about,

Never caring what others might think of me, 

Never did I once stop thinking about those

Who do not see me as worthy.

I am on a mission and like my mother before me,

With fire in my heart and steel in my veins, 

I do not care for those words people spit out,

For what I am and will become will be far greater. 

So I steer not far from the path I dreamt of many nights,

Willing my way through the ups and downs,

For my dreams are unshaken, my spirit unbroken.

And now you know why I can never leave.
