We were sitting
On the sand
Along the shoreline
Our laughter
Splashing into the silence
Of the night
I could feel the heat flush
Onto my cheeks
Watermelon pink
As I looked at you
And felt fireworks
In my chest
I knew you did too
Because your cheeks
Were toadstool red

Be scared of walking alone

Fall has finally returned
From a
Long,
Long
Trip.
She arrives at our doors,
Hair like lightning
Sprung from her head,
In her garden she chased
Spirits of the dead.
"The keeper of the ghosts!"
The townsfolk would cry,
