We Are Loud People

We are people,

First off.

People that for decades

have screamed into the abyss of

wealthy ignorance.

We have lent voices far and wide

without results.

We have carved mountains with the

news

and built communities with our voices.

We have succeeded

and lost

in battles that you decide their importance.

Why?

We

The

People

Already decided their importance when we

wanted to dedicate time to the cause.

We don't need your opinion unless you want to

yell along with us.

But you don't,

Do you?

You're the ones with the chains

and locks.

With the safes

and embezzlements.

With the fair skin you abuse

like it gives you a reason.

I have the fair skin without needing

validation by the levels of melatonin

in my skin.

But you do?

What gives you the right,

to act like we need permission to speak?

I don't think anything does.

I think what you're doing is...

illegal,

but

We

The

People

will keep our dignity

throughout.

Please be on standby,

as we vouch

for everyone in the stadium

that we built, but you think you fund.

  • The Red Crayon

I haven't seen democracy since I was four years old,

coloring with crayons outside the lines while a man on screen was coloring the map with too much red that the blue was overpowered.

  • Good Bye Good

    Greed overtook them

Only those in power shoot their guns in fear

Of the potential held in the palm of our hands

Delicate and rough fingers intertwined through every color to shoot back.

    Bye Good,

  • Anatomy's Future

I stopped standing the day that everyone else stopped standing for us

I have not put my hand over my heart in over a year because what is there to hide?

I was born here with the blonde hair and blue eyes
