We Must Endure

Democracy, a dream so pure,
In an ethical land, it must endure.
Where common good above all stands,
And unity shapes the people's hands.

No selfish want, no partisan fight,
But shared vision, glowing bright.
Can Lincoln’s dream still hold its place,
In the heart of a divided race?

"Of the people, by the people, for the people" he spoke,
But can this vision survive the smoke?
Is democracy enough to bear
The weight of a nation torn and rare?

A turning point, perhaps, we face,
A fragile future, a shifting space.
What must we change, what must we see,
To protect the spirit of liberty?

The people's voice must rise above,
Not bound by hate, but rooted in love.
For democracy, to truly thrive,
We must ensure that all are alive.
